A Tharu lady weaving the traditional Tharu object whilst guarding the paddy seedlings. Tharus usually keep themselves busy with many such activities. During idle times amidst of tasks, they keep weaving, making ropes, fishing nets and other such productive tasks. There is even a word for such activities. The word is “Harchali” which roughly translates to “time-pass”
